The Return of Senior Spotlight: Courtni Wilson

My name is: Courtni Wilson

I go to school at: Broken Arrow High School

My favorite websites are: Facebook, Coach, and picnik for editing my pictures

The magazines I always have to stop and look at in the grocery store are: Seventeen and bridal

My first crush was: Zach Holjes from first to fifth grade

My current favorite song: Akon - Beautiful

The last meal I made was: Marble cupcakes!

My biggest accomplishment in high school so far: Becoming senior class president for my tech class.

My dream job: Designing wedding dresses and shoes, I LOVE shoes

One unusual talent I have is: putting my tongue into a 3-leaf clover

I couldn't speak when I met: The Tulsa Talons. SOO cute.

My favorite things in my closet are: Polo shoes, uggs, and BCBG heels

2 most important things to have a great friendship are: Laughter and fun times.

In 10 years I see myself: Down in Texas owning my owning my own shop of dresses and shoes. With about 15 different cars

I love Lisa’s Portaits because (shameless plug!!): It was an exciting event to do. A highlight of my senior year and she is AMAZING at what she does. The company is very nice and works well with you.

For senior year, I was most nervous about: the ACT test and preparing for college

My top 5 senior events are: first day of school, homecoming, my 18th birthday, spring break and PROM!

My most embarassing moment is: I have many, but I slid out of my chair at tech infront of my whole class, and when I got up I tripped over the chair.

My number one lesson from high school I will take to college is: time management. I work 2 jobs and attend 2 schools, as well as trying to make time for my family and friends.

Senior year is such a big deal because: it is the last year with all of my friends which I will be leaving very soon and I just want to make it last.

Jennie, Jennie

So this is Jennie, with an ie. Just know that if your name ends in an ie I will spell it wrong. I can't help it! Something must be wrong with me! I'm so methodical about getting correct spellings of names but it just seems that anytime someones name ends in an ie......I get it wrong! I must have brain damage :o) Anyway I'm off on a tangent. Things you must know about Jennie. 1) and this is obvious....she's the cutest darn thing you've ever seen. 2) she was buckets of fun to photograph 3) she thinks she isn't photogenic (most girls do) 4) She's a dancer, I just love dancers. So without further ado......Jennie

Sooooo Busy

Can I get out of posting something entertaining if I post lots of pictures? And as a bonus I'll even post a guys session! Something I noticed is totally lacking in my new blogging adventure. As is becoming my norm I couldn't narrow these down. Justin chose the Statement session, a great choice for all the locations he wanted to go but resulting in tons of great images!

This little couch is mine, I use it all the time......yes I know! It's my favorite and everyone else's too! Take a minute to admire it's awesomeness :o)

Danna

Guess this weekend i'm posting my girls with the more quiet personalities. Danna was also of a softer spoken nature but I don't mind. Whatever your personality type I like to take the time to get to know who you are and to bring your style into your photos! Danna chose the Style session and we took a trip to Downtown Tulsa and then came back to the studio. She brought some great clothing and we had a hard time making up our minds what she was going to wear! Give me too many good options and there will be a problem . I have a complete inability to make a decision. Character Flaw. Well now that you know something more about me, check out Danna's completely amazing senior pics! I can only take a tiny bit of the credit - have you seen the girls I get to work with!

Can you believe how awesome her bone structure is ~ Stunning!

Thanks for the LOVE!

Can you believe we shopped for 12 hours today!!!! Now if I can only sleep for 12 I'll be good :o)

I am more than half way through this BLOG CHALLENGE and I wanted to thank everyone who has participated! Thanks for leaving love in the comment box and for making me feel like a rockstar photographer!! You are the best.

WINNERS: Cindy and Andrea email me! (lisa@lisasportraitstudio.com) You've randomly won this week's lucky comment prize. :)

Don't want to leave you without any images so here is the totally stunning Chelsey! You'd never guess she was one of the most shy girls I ever photographed. She actually banished her poor mom to the dressing room so she wouldn't be self concious...well looks like it worked! It didn't take long before I was able to bring her out of her shell and get these delicious images!

Ok so I overdid it but choosing one or two was just asking too much! I just shot these I'm still emotionally attached! Which ones are your favorites? Comments!

Lisa misses a blog post ......

.....bonus - haaaa had you for a minute there didn't I?

Nothing feels better than spreading the love during the holidays! That's why I've decided to add a little bonus to my blog post contest. Since it's not likely that your going to catch me missing a blog post I've decided to distribute some random acts of kindness.

Here's the Deal: Random acts of kindness will be given to those who post a comment on any blog entries. I will pick 2 lucky numbers each week and if you're comment happens to be that lucky number, you win!! (think iTunes, Starbucks, McAlisters....) It’s just that simple.. go ahead, try it out right now! You can leave me a comment on this post itself, or you can have some fun, take a look around and comment on any other posts. This yummy fun is for anyone, friends, family, seniors, clients, other photographers, and blog stalkers.

And while your in the commenting mood check out my fab photog friend Andrea of Andrea Murphy Photography's blog she's joined in this wonderful project to give back to the community and you could be a part of it all just by commenting.

My favorite girl

So this is Kelsie ~ with an ie!! Kels has been kind enough to have been modeling for me every since I was in photography school at OSU. I think I've known her since she was about 12 or 13 or so. I used to drag her and her friend Sammy to the most awful locations you've ever seen. I'm talking abandoned schools, falling down houses, creepy railroad tracks, you name it. They were real troopers to let me practice away and they even were nice enough to say the pictures were good....well at the time I thought they were too. Anyway now kels, with an ie, is all grown, gorgeous, and a senior and she's still modeling for me. She tested out our new set for us~ the brocade one with the chandelier, its fabulous. We try to add new stuff occasionally to keep things fresh.

Love ya Kels!

Listen Guys, just because it's cold outside doesn't mean you can't book a studio session! Give us a call 609-5100!
